"My familiarity with M.G. Consulting was in conjuction with the City of Vacavilles's Easterly Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Project. West Yost & Associates, as the designer of the project, prepared the contract drawings and specifications for the project. M.G. Consulting was initially hired by the piping subcontractor Mountain Mechanical Company and then retained by the general contractor for the project Walsh Pacific Corporation. Michael was hired by both companies to prepare piping and equipment layout drawings for submission to the Owner prior to fabrication and installation of the process piping for the project. Before Michael's arrival the contractor had made very little progress with regard to this requirement despite having retained other piping detailers specifically for this purpose. During his tenure on the job, he prepared and successfully completed the majority of the piping submitials that have been prepared for this project. It appeared that he received very little support from either employer and was oftern required to attend meetings with me, unaccompanied by his employers, as well as research issues and decisions that had been made long ago about which he was provided no information. Nevertheless, he was able to work independently and solve these problems through his own initiative, effort, and research."
